How Can a Mock Cal/OSHA Inspection Help Me?

Because you want to find out the issues before Cal/OSHA does. Are you prepared for a visit from Cal/OSHA? Are you sure that you’re in compliance with the minimum standards?:

Documentation Must be written specific to your industry, company, and location. It must be updated on a regular basis, reflecting the current Cal/OSHA code and regulations.

Training Must be conducted on a regular basis and training records maintained.

Inspections Must be conducted regularly with reports depicting issues found and evidence that they have been corrected.

Safe Work Environment. Your workplace must be free from all safety hazards and all potential hazards. We can help point these out to you.

What Can Trigger a REAL Cal/OSHA Inspection?

A serious injury to an employee. This would include death, dismemberment (amputation or partial amputation), gross disfigurement, or eight hours or more of hospitalization for other than observation.

A complaint. Generally by an employee, former employee, customer, residential neighbor, business neighbor or even a competitor. Complaints are almost always anonymous and Cal/OSHA must follow-up with a visit.

Industry sweep. When Cal/OSHA detects a pattern in a particular industry, they will conduct random inspections throughout the industry.

Area Sweep. Cal/OSHA rotates geographical areas where they will conduct random inspections of selected business regardless of industry.

Abnormally high MOD rates. Cal/OSHA by mandate acquires records from workers compensation providers to monitor MOD rates. If your MOD rate exceeds 1.20 you will be flagged for inspection.

DON’T ASSUME YOU’RE IN COMPLIANCE
